Haley Rusher (10-4) faced Gracyn Vondy of Sterling in her first match in Bridgeport. Rusher pinned Vondy nine seconds into the second period. Rusher went on to pin Izabelle Owens of Sidney in the next round to win the girls 145 pound division.
Both the boys and girls wrestling squads made the trip to Bridgeport Saturday, Dec. 16 for an invitational wrestling tourney.
The Longhorn junior varsity wrestlers got their chance to shine at the McCook Meet on Thursday. Although there where no champions from Chase County, four wrestlers did manage to bring home run
