A crew from Sargent Irrigation of Broken Bow began the digging work for the new Imperial city water well Wednesday morning in Campbell Park, south of the water tower along West 6th Street.
Workers from B&H Paving of Scott City, Kansas were out early Tuesday morning, putting down a layer of armor coating on city streets. B&H Paving Inc. of Scott City, Kansas was in charge of the roadwork this year.
Tiffany Reeves was tapped to replace Eddie Nichols on the Chase County Community Hospital board by the Chase County Commission during its July 23 meeting.
An extensive arrowhead collection will be on display Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Chase County Museum.
