Saturday proved to be the best day weather-wise during Memorial Day weekend, and that brought out runners, walkers and “tadpole” youth racers for the sixth annual Joggin’ for Frogmen in Imperial.

On the heels of a $20.5 million hospital bond vote defeat, Chase County Community Hospital board members, administration and a commissioner held a postmortem on the election.

County approves jail contract, as city reviews
At a meeting May 14, Chase County Commissioners approved a contract for jail services to be presented to Imperial’s city council.
Memorial Day service to honor fallen heroes
The Memorial Day service at Mount Hope Cemetery will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. beginning with the presentation of the colors by members of the Andrew Kinder VFW Post #4688.
