As part of Office Depot’s Start Proud! program, Chase County Schools graduate Shelby Leyland was one of 10 teachers across the country given the All-Star Educator award.
School Nurse Angie Paisley said 36 volunteers helped screen 578 students in grades 1-2 in two days last week.
