Imperial granted over $1,000,000 for new housing

The city has a received a grant from the West Central Nebraska Development District and a matched funding from local partners, totaling approximately $1.5 million. This money will be used in the construction of new homes and liveable properties, to encourage new homeowners to come to Imperial.
“Imperial is ahead of many of its sister-cities in that we undertook making an adjacent field ready for residential lots” said Tyler Pribbeno, the administrator of community development. “This program will hopefully either incentivize the local contractors, to give them the ability to take on these larger projects, or to entice other developers to come to Imperial to help alleviate our housing shortages and help the town grow.”
