Lady Longhorns lose heartbreaker to Wray

The Lady Longhorns came out cold to start the game against Wray Friday night, losing a close 25-32 game.
Despite getting behind at the start of the game, the girls clawed back to lead at the end of the first quarter, 7-6.
Wray stiffened it’s defensive full court pressure, causing Chase County to rush some of their passes and putting up some low percentage shots.
The Horns were only able to muster one free throw in the second quarter for points while Wray put up 11.
After half the Horns looked much more composed and actually won the second half, but not by far enough to cover the second quarter deficit.
The turnovers were pretty even at 29 for Chase Co. and 28 for Wray.  Wray scored 16 off Horns’ turnovers and Chase County only got nine.
The Longhorns out rebounded Wray by 10 but had trouble converting the offensive rebounds to points.
Landree McNair led all scorers on the night with 10. Olivia Spady led the Horns in rebounds with seven, with McNair and Karlie Anderson having six and five respectively.
Top scorer for Wray was Dori Saffer with nine, while Sharon Greek followed her with seven.
