Amen qualifies for Drive, Chip and Putt nationals

With a strong showing at a PGA Regional Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifier in Castle Pines Golf Club south of Denver, Colorado, Henry Amen qualified for the National Finals.
Henry competed Sunday in the regional qualifier. The National Finals will be at Augusta National Golf Club April 7, 2024.
His mom, Kari, said his family is proud of Henry’s accomplishment and are looking forward to planning their trip in April.
“Him competing at the National Finals at Augusta during Masters week will be unforgettable,” Kari said.
Henry told organizers he’s been playing since he was given a plastic club at 1 1/2 years old.
Henry won by a comfortable 10 points. He tied in the drive contest with drive on drive between 190 and 200 yards and two between 180 and 190 yards.
In the chip portion, Henry was second by four points. His first attempt was his lowest scoring, stopping within 10 feet of the hole. His other two attempts landed within two feet of the hole.
Henry finished up second in the putt competition by three points. Amen’s first putt was a hole in one, while his second was within one foot of the hole. His last putt was his lowest scoring, stopping four to five feet from the hole.
 Overall, Henry claimed a 128-118 win over Ben Sand of Prescott, Wisconsin.
Other winners at Castle Pines were Simon White, Colorado, boys 14-15; Landry Frost, Colorado, girls 14-15;  Patrick Vilai, Grand Island, boys 12-13; Harlow Gregory, Oklahoma, girls 12-13;
