Nickless, Martin win under-21 division at CCF Car Nutz Show
This year’s Car Nutz Show at the Chase County Fair awarded prizes to 25 overall winners, two under-21 winners and to the Best Rat Rod.
Held Aug. 13, Imperial’s Nevaeh Martin and Champion’s Colby Nickless were the top two cars in the under-21 division. Martin brought her 1995 Mazda Miata and Nickless brought a 1976 Ford F250.
Dave Hageman of Goodland, Kansas won Best Rat Rod for his 1932 Chevy Rat Rod.
Twenty-five cars were announced in no particular order as Best in Show. Local winners included Elaine Colson, 1967 Volkswagen Bug; Doug Gaswick, 1956 Ford F100; Lorena McArthur, 1964 Chevy C10; Kasey McArthur, 1964 Chevy Impala SS; and Bob McBride, 1955 Ford Thunderbird.
Over 60 members of the Car Nutz club brought cars to the show.
