Area players picked by dailies for All-State basketball teams

    With all-conference teams officially announced, the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald named their All-State teams Sunday.
    Chase County’s Bryn McNair was named to the Lincoln Journal Star Class C1 second team after averaging 23.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game.
    Seniors Jordan Jablonski and Jerzee Milner were on the Lincoln Journal Star honorable mention list and both, plus McNair, were on the Omaha World Herald honorable mention.
    Bridgeport’s Ruthie Loomis-Golto was named to the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald All-Class second team and Olivia Loomis-Goltl was named to both papers’ All-Class third team.
    Both were on the C2 first teams.
    Perkins County’s Kailee Potts, Libby Cole and Meredith Gloy were named to the Lincoln Journal Star honorable mention list. Potts, Cole and Gloy were joined by Meghan Bishop and Hallie Fisher in the Omaha World Herald.
    Also from SPVA, North Platte St. Pat’s Tonja Heirigs was placed on the Journal Star and World Herald Class D1 second team.
    In Class D2, both papers named Wallace’s Mariah Gardner, Karlie Finley and Kendyl Flaming to the honorable mention list.
    In the World Herald, Wauneta-Palisade’s Peyton Cox is on the honorable mention list.
    On the boys’ side, NPSP’s Jack Heiss and Brecken Erickson are on both papers’ D1 first team. Dundy County-Stratton’s Mark Nelms is on both second teams.
    Perkins County’s Hunter Garner and Hayden Foster are on the World Herald’s Class C2 honorable mention list, as is Chase County’s Kade Anderson.
    Wallace’s Kolton Hager and Camden McConnell were named to the Journal Star and World Herald honorable mention lists.
