Pheasants Forever annual banquet, auction to be held at fairgrounds

The Southwestern Nebraska Pheasants Forever chapter will be holding its 32nd annual banquet and live auction Saturday at the Nutrien Events Center, which is located at the fairgrounds.
The doors will open at 5 p.m. with games and raffles during the social hour. Supper will begin at 7 p.m. with a live auction following the meal.
There will be over 20 items auctioned, including the framed print of the year titled “Final Flight” by Ryan Kirby, said Trevor Oxford, banquet committee member.
Throughout the evening, between 10-20 items will be laid out for a silent auction as well, said Oxford.
It is requested that youths who attended the Youth Mentor Hunt in October wear their new hunt vest and hat to the banquet, and bring a friend.
For questions, contact a banquet committee member, who include Oxford, Casey Francis and Dode Johnson, or chapter officers Heather Francis, Matt Denny or Tyler Oxford.
The banquet is open to the public, and the cost of the meal is $20.
For those wanting to pay their yearly membership fee, it is $35.
Social distancing and wearing of a mask is encouraged but not required. Organizers prefer that those who have been ill or not feeling well not attend the event.
