Casino Night, Cajun food to help raise Hospital Foundation funds

The Chase County Hospital Foundation is extending an invitation to the community for its inaugural Casino Night fundraiser Saturday, March 5, at Broken Arrow Cellars.
The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with Cajun Prairie Catering serving authentic Cajun cuisine from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
“The menu will include alligator, jambalaya, hot slaw and red beans and rice. It promises to be a big hit,” said Shawn Jaeger, foundation coordinator.
Admission is free. However, a $50 a ticket donation is requested and will include the meal and $200 in casino chips.
Attendees must be 21 years of age.
“Our guests will enjoy a lively casino atmosphere with music in the background,” said Jaeger.
Wine, beer and spirits will be available at a cash bar provided by Broken Arrow Cellars.
The casino floor will be open from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Professional dealers from Casino Party USA in Denver will provide eight gaming tables: one craps, one roulette, five blackjack and one for Texas Hold’em poker, he said.
Following Casino Night gaming, there will be prize drawings for $2,000 in Chamber Bucks ranging from $50 to $500.
A silent auction will be going on for a number of items throughout the evening, and the results of the auction will be announced following the prize drawings.
Additional information about the auction items will be provided on the hospital website and Facebook page as it becomes available, Jaeger said.
Space is limited
All ticket-holders who acquire their tickets prior to March 5 will be placed into an early entry drawing for Chamber Bucks.
“If there are any tickets still available at the door, you might still be able to attend. But your name won’t be included in the drawings,” said Jaeger. “We have limited space.”
All funds will go toward the endowment fund to build toward the goal of $1 million by 2030, he said.
“I’m hoping for a good turnout—we’re just there to have a good time,” he added.
“We would like the ‘Casino Night’ fundraiser to become an annual event around this same time of year,” Jaeger continued.
For tickets, contact Jaeger at 308-882-7290 or email sjaeger@chasecountyhospital.com.
“Remember, all ticket holders who get their tickets by March 4 will be placed into an early entry drawing,” he said.
