Time to nominate residents for ‘22 Outstanding Citizen awards

It’s that time again for the annual Imperial Outstanding Citizen nominations when the community can nominate local residents for their contributions to the community.
There are two categories—18 years old and younger and over 18.
The only requirement is candidates must live within the city limits.
Candidate forms can be picked up at the Imperial city offices, or viewed on the city website at imperial-ne.com.
Deadline for entering candidates is Jan. 10 and winners will be chosen at the Jan. 17 city council meeting.
The two winners will be invited to the city appreciation dinner in the spring and presented their awards.
Winners will also be recognized in the fair parade next summer on a city-sponsored float.
This is the sixth year for these awards.
Previous youth winners have been:
Trevin Moreno
Hayley Vitosh
Parker Dillan
Imperial FFA Senior Parli Pro Team
Markenna Terryberry
Previous over 18 winners were:
Judy and Doug Gaswick
Jill Moline
Chris Lee
Dennis Batterman
Johnny Miller
