RPAC, SPVA announce all-conference volleyball teams

    With volleyball season wrapping in early November, conference coaches sat down last week to select all-conference teams.
    Wauneta-Palisade and Chase County each had four selections in their respective conferences.
    In the RPAC West Division, Alexa Sandman repeated as a first team selection and Peyton Cox repeated on the second team.
    Juniors Cali Cox and Halle Bardsley earned honorable mention.
    Sandman finished second in Class D2 in aces with 80.
    Cox was 14th in kills with 273.
    Bardsley finished in the top 30 for assists with 331.
    The RPAC was loaded with seven Maywood/Hayes Center players after the Wolves finished third in the Class D2 state tournament with a 28-3 record.
    For CCS, the conference champions, juniors Bryn McNair and Gisselle Acuna joined senior Jerzee Milner on the SPVA first team.
    Senior Chloe Dillan was named to the second team.
    Milner was the only senior named to the first team, with the rest being juniors.
    Milner finished sixth in Class C1 with 788 assists.
    It is McNair’s second time on the first team.
    McNair finished fifth in Class C1 with 458 kills, a new school record. McNair is knocking on the door of the career record for kills, as well.
