Hospital highlighted for November by Chamber

Chase County Community Hospital has been chosen by the Imperial Chamber of Commerce as November’s business of the month.
CCCH is a 20-bed critical access hospital which includes two medical clinics—one each in Imperial and Wauneta.
Some of the services offered include outpatient, inpatient, skilled care, surgery and emergency services.
The specialty clinic brings in medical professionals who provide local access in a number of medical fields.
The hospital has 96 employees with 68 being full-time, said Shawn Jaeger, foundation and marketing coordinator.
The leadership team includes Abby Cyboran, Chief Executive Officer; Matthew Musgrove, Chief Financial Officer; Shannon Kuhlmann, Chief Nursing Officer; Alicia Ridlen, clinic administrator; Linda Nelson, head of respiratory; and Tom Alvarez, director of Human Resources.
Kay Younger is a certified lactation educator who provides services to obstetrical patients.
Julie Levy is a dietitian at CCCH, but she is also an educator for diabetes.
Trustees for CCCH are Tiffany Reeves, chairperson, Kimberly Kunnemann, treasurer, Sam McNair, secretary, Robert Mendenhall and Lesley Nordhausen.
The hospital houses a wide variety of departments to diagnose and treat patient conditions as well as providing services in many other areas.
Some of those areas include laboratory, radiology, respiratory, specialty clinic, nursing, physical therapy, cardiac rehab, infusion and chemotherapy services, nutrition services, housekeeping, human resources, business office and other special services in a variety of areas that benefit patients.
An example of one of those services is “My Health Tuesday” held on the second Tuesday of each month where affordable, out of pocket lab testing is performed with no provider order needed.
The hospital foundation functions to support quality healthcare in Chase County and the surrounding area, Jaeger said.
The foundation obtains grants and holds a number of fundraiser events each year to raise money to purchase up-to-date medical equipment for CCCH as well as helping beautify the hospital entrance and landscaping, said Jaeger.
Providers for the hospital and clinics are Dr. David Younger, M.D., Jodi Spady, P.A.-C, Nicole Havel, P.A. and Brandy Hanes, N.P.
CCCH is dedicated to promoting health and wellness in the communities it serves.
