EMS Haunted House plans for ghoulish guests

The EMS Haunted House will be open to the public Oct. 29, 30 and 31 from 7 to 10 p.m.
As in previous years, it will be located at the Imperial city gym.
The cost to enter the haunted house, if you dare, will be $6 for 10 years and up, $5 for ages 5 - 9 and $2 for 4 years old and under.
Anyone donating a canned good for the food pantry will get a $1 discount, said Deb Hayes, president of Imperial EMS.
“We are dedicating this year’s haunted house in honor of Pat Hammel. We want to remember her for all her hard work over the years in spearheading the haunted house and providing all of the decorations to pull it all together,” Hayes said.
She said Halloween was Hammel’s favorite holiday to decorate for and provide a fun activity for community youths.
Funds gathered at the door will go toward the EMS scholarship fund.
Another possible fundraiser for this year may be food-related on Saturday night, said Hayes.
“Food funds will go toward the purchase of protective gear for EMS personnel,” she added.
There will be more information on the food fundraiser in next week’s issue.
