Fundraiser planned on Saturday for Vrbas baby

The Imperial Country Club will be hosting a benefit for Emery Kay Vrbas this Saturday beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the golf course.
Supper will be served.  There will also be a silent auction which will end at 7:30 p.m., said co-coordinators Sherri Burke and Mary Wilson.
Emery Kay was born June 21 to Heath and Miranda Vrbas at CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln at 25 weeks and three days. She weighed 1 lb. 1/2 ounces and was 11 inches long.  The road has been a long one for Emery Kay, but she has continued to fight, surpassing many milestones and has more than tripled her birth weight.
At three months old, Emery now weighs 5 lbs 1 oz.
Other family members, all waiting for her to come home, include grandparents Mike Jaeger and Joeanna Jaeger, and Bryan and Julie Vrbas of Palisade. Parents Heath and Miranda Vrbas and big brother Coehn also live in Palisade.
