Rainbow Promise Preschool to open soon with new directors

Tammy Siverson and Brandi Dannatt have accepted the positions as co-directors for Rainbow Promise Preschool.
These two women replace previous director Jennifer Colton.
The preschool has a capacity of 29 children ages three to six years old.
“The child must be age three and above to attend,” Dannatt said.
The first day of school for Rainbow Promise will be Wednesday, Sept. 8.
“We will be retaining the same staff as before, so there will be familiar faces for returning children,” said Siverson.
Sessions will be from 8 to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, and 12:20 to 3:20 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Siverson will be teaching Mondays and Wednesdays with Dannatt teaching Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The two women will be alternating on Fridays.
“Our school days will follow the Chase County Schools’ calender along with their holidays including snow days. We work very closely with CCS,” Dannatt said.
“There are still some openings to enroll students,” Siverson said, “and scholarships are available as before.”
Children will be taught  the usual subjects and skills to make their transition to kindergarten as smooth as possible, Dannatt said, but there will be some changes added to the curriculum.
“We’re excited to add new things while keeping the same Christian values,” she added.
“It is our goal to teach social and emotional development with the children, and establish the importance of proper behaviors and communication with adults and other students,” said Siverson.
Both directors talked about wanting to add more music and movement activities to the classes plus focusing on small and large motor skills.
The directors are planning on more hands-on activities by establishing various activity centers for the children.
“We want to be more visible in community involvement by taking field trips and inviting special guests to come talk to the children,” Siverson said.
