Hairball returns for a performance Friday night at the Chase County Fair after weather two years ago halted their show.

Hairball returning to Chase Co. Fair to finish what they started

The band, Hairball, first appeared at the Chase County Fair in 2019, but nature had other plans.
A severe storm halted the concert not long after it started.
Dave Moody, one of the singers and impersonators in the group, said they are excited to return to the fair this Friday night to “settle the score” and give Chase County, Nebraska the performance they deserve.
This is the 21st year for the group who performs as best-known characters of famous rock groups from the 70s and 80s.
They expertly perform drop-dead accurate homage to some of the biggest arena acts in the world like Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, ACDC, Twisted Sister and Aerosmith, just to name a few.
The stage becomes an entirely new rock concert countless times throughout the night.
“We dress in full, complete actual costumes for every song and group we represent,” Moody said. “We have professional costumes made for each band member so they are exact replicas of the originals,” he added.
Moody said they take the audience on a time-travel experience of classic rock that comes from a better time, he said.
“The music, the costumes, the mind-blowing pyrotechnics and realistic performances create visuals that will assail the senses,” Moody said.
It’s a good time for everybody—generational entertainment that will appeal to grandpas, grandmas, kids, moms—something everybody can enjoy together, he added.
“We’re not hams, we’re the whole pig,” said Moody.
It’s common to see people attend the concert wearing their favorite 80s outfit, even if it doesn’t fit anymore, he laughed.
“We guarantee a good time,” said Moody.
“There will be full pyrotechnics and five LED production screens,” he added.
Tickets are on sale for the Friday night live grandstand show at $30 for standing tickets and $35 for seated, plus taxes and fees.
The concert gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Special guest performer,  “Romero,” will open the concert at 7:30 p.m., followed by Hairball.
