Museum to present cemetery histories

The Chase County Museum will be hosting a special presentation Sunday on the history of area cemeteries.
Several cemetery caretakers will be guest speakers along with enlarged color photos on display of seven cemeteries that have been added to the museum collection, said Becky Carman, a Chase County Historical Society board member.
The cemeteries that will be discussed Sunday are Champion’s Lakeview Cemetery, Fairview in Crete, Greenlawn in Lamar, Riverside in Wauneta, Elmer Cemetery in Hayes County  (Chase County people are buried there), Blanche Cemetery in northeast Chase County and Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
“This promises to be a very interesting program,” Carman said.
Refreshments will be served.
