SWNE to hold Summer Sell-a-bration event Saturday on courthouse lawn

Saturday is going to be a big day in Imperial.
Along with all the other activities scheduled that day for Smokin’ on Broadway, the Southwest Nebraska Entrepreneurs’ home-based businesses and crafters will also offer a shaded option to do some shopping.
The group is holding its annual “Summer Sell-a-bration” on the courthouse lawn from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are expecting around 20 vendors so far to set up booths displaying their wares,” said Gayla Mayden, event coordinator.
The event has always been a great way to get started on some early Christmas shopping, she said.
There will be items from homemade baked goods to horseshoe art to essential oils.
Some new vendors this year will be selling handmade earrings and hair bows, Usborne children’s books, graphic T-shirts and sweatshirts, machine embroidered items and denim rugs and blankets, Mayden said.

“Burritos and More” from Grant will have a booth selling a lunch of a burrito, chips and drink at the event.
The booth will also be selling frozens burritos to take home, Mayden said.
Proceeds, above and beyond expenses, will be donated to the food pantry, Rainbow Promise Preschool and go towards sponsoring a child at SCORE Camp, she added.
