Christian music jamboree Sunday for community

The Chase County Ministerial Alliance is sponsoring a Christian music jamboree Sunday at the Champion Community Center.
The jamboree is for anyone who wants to come perform or just listen, said Pastor Melody Newman of the First United Methodist Church of Imperial (UMC).
The music will start at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
“There will be an open mic for anyone who would like to come share their musical talent with everyone,” Pastor Newman said.
This is intended to be a way to bring some Christian music into the community—by the community, she said.
“Appropriate secular music is also welcome,” she added.
There will be a supper served at 5 p.m. for all attendees, and a free-will donation will be accepted.
UMC is in charge of organizing the event this year.
Saved by Grace Cowboy Church was last year’s organizer for the event.
For questions, contact Pastor Newman at 308-883-6878 or Pastor Deb Copple at the church office at 308-882-5127.
