Auction benefit planned in Wauneta for Tyson Bardsley

Friends and family members are rallying around Tyson Bardsley after the Wauneta man suffered a stroke Jan. 30.
Bardsley was flown to Medical Center of the Rockies with bleeding in his brain stem, a condition which is usually fatal, Bardsley’s mother Kay Brogan said.
Brogan said Bardsley’s initial prognosis wasn’t good, but within a few hours he showed some responsiveness.
Since then, he’s continued to surprise doctors.
Bardsley has been in the rehabilitation unit at Poudre Valley Hospital since Feb. 22 and is expected to be discharged March 19.
Out patient therapy will begin after he’s discharged.
Friends have joined together for a benefit Saturday at the Wauneta Community Building from 5:30 p.m. to 12 midnight.
The event is free will donation. No tickets are needed.
Comedian Sam Adams will perform at 6 p.m.
Silent and live auctions will go on throughout the evening. The live auction will start at 7 p.m.
Organizers have lined up a wide variety of auction items, ranging from firearms to quilts. Pheasant Forever prints, guided turkey hunts and bowfishing are on the list, plus several different types of grills and the beef to go on them.
Avid golfers, as Bardsley is, have several options. Day packages and a one year membership to Enders Lake Golf Course will be on the auction block, as will a package to a Colorado course.
Tools, tires, fencing, swathing and baling are also among the many items available.
Area fire departments stepped up with donations for Bardsley, a member of the Wauneta Volunteer Fire Department for 15 years.
Shirts designed by Bardsley’s daughters, Halle and Kenzie Bardsley, saying #BARDSLEYSRONG will be available for purchase to help with medical expenses.
Attendees will be served walking tacos while at the event.
With a weekend storm predicted, organizers said the auctions will go on no matter what.
