One injured in accident Saturday in Imperial

Imperial Police Department, Imperial EMS and the Chase County Sheriff’s Department responded to a vehicle accident in the 800 block of Broadway in Imperial Saturday.
The call came in from a witness at approximately 8:15 p.m. when a vehicle was seen driving on Broadway at a high rate of speed with the passenger door open.
IPD Officer Rob Rusk arrived at the scene to find witnesses and a female on the ground with blood on her forehead.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kameron Krieg, 43, of Holyoke, and the passenger was identified as Amanda Wyscarver, 37, of Imperial.
Wyscarver had reportedly jumped from the vehicle. She was transported to Chase County Community Hospital and released with minor injuries.
Krieg had exited the vehicle and fled on foot where he was recovered by Officer Rusk approximately four blocks away.
Krieg was arrested on DUI charges and housed in the Chase County Jail.
