Lewis named TeamMate Mentor of the Month

Steve Lewis has been chosen TeamMate of the Month for June.
Lewis has been a mentor to Dawson, an incoming freshman, for four years and has served on the TeamMates Board of Directors since the program began in 2014.
Lewis and Dawson enjoy getting together and talking about sports.
When the program began and he agreed to serve on the board, Lewis said each board member committed to also be a mentor.
Having served as a mentor in other communities, Lewis said he likes the structure of TeamMates as a function of the school organization.
He said his favorite thing about being a mentor is following student activities.
Dawson is an athlete and also plays in the band, so Lewis has attended some of his events and enjoys having that connection.
Lewis is the CEO for Chase County Community Hospital. He and his wife, Shirley, have two sons.
Nathan and his wife Julie have two daughters, Katelynn and Macie, and son Bryan and his wife Elizabeth have one daughter, Dovie.
Lewis enjoys sports and sporting events, and he loves to work in the yard and flower gardens.
