Western Governors University, MPCC partnering on degrees

Western Governors University, a nonprofit online university, and Mid-Plains Community College have partnered to provide students graduating with their associate degrees from any of MPCC’s campuses with a pathway to a bachelor’s or master’s degree from WGU.
A Memorandum of Understanding signed by Gov. Pete Ricketts and WGU expands access to college degree programs for the estimated 306,000 Nebraskans who have some college credits but no bachelor’s degree.
WGU offers students graduating from MPCC access to more than 60 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in business, K-12 teacher education, information technology and health professions, including nursing.
New students transitioning from MPCC will be able to transfer their credits to WGU to ensure a direct pathway to earning their bachelor’s degrees.
MPCC serves 2,100 students across an 18-county service area in west central Nebraska, with seven campuses in McCook, North Platte, Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine.
For more information on the partnership on the WGU/MPCC partnerships, visit wgu.edu or mpcc.edu.
