Amber Kuskie of Ogallala is the new executive director for West Central Nebraska Development District, Inc. The WCNDD Board of Directors appointed Kuskie to the position at its March 16 meeting.
“We have the utmost faith that Amber will lead West Central Nebraska Development District into the next generation of success,” Board Chairman Edward Dunn of Grant said.
Kuskie began her employment with WCNDD in 2020 as a community economic development specialist and was promoted to regional program coordinator. Most recently, she served as deputy director for the agency.
“I’m honored to become the next executive director for WCNDD,” Kuskie said.
“This is an important time for WCNDD to work together with communities on local solutions that have a regional impact,” she said.
As executive director, Kuskie will take over day-to-day activities and operations of the agency and be a leader for community and economic development in the 18-county service area in western and southwest Nebraska.
WCNDD is contracted on an annual basis as Imperial’s nuisance officer.
