Sixty alumni and guests attended the Wauneta-Palisade alumni banquet at the school gymnasium in Wauneta Saturday evening.
Bonnie Crossin Majors, a 75-year alum from the Class of 1946, was asked to speak and concluded her message by asking everyone to sing, “God Bless America.”
Classmates gathered from nine Wauneta-Palisade honor classes ending in “0” and “1.”
More classmates also attended other activities.
Honor class photos taken by Allison Sandman will be published in coming weeks.
The Wauneta chamber offered a free lunch to the public Saturday at the community building.
Approximately 60 people were served at the Wauneta Senior Center Sunday dinner.
There was also a good turnout for the American Legion Auxiliary lunch Monday after the military services at the Eden Cemetery, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery and Wauneta Cemetery.
