Two public hearings on agenda for Monday’s Imperial council meeting

Imperial’s city council will meet Monday for its regular meeting at 6 p.m. in the library’s meeting room.
Here are agenda items given by Clerk/Administrator Jo Leyland as of Wednesday morning:
Public hearing for citizen comments regarding a replat request by Steve Terryberry of Lots 35-36 in the Hoffmeister Subdivision. Approval of the replat could also come at the meeting.
Public hearing to hear citizen comments regarding changes to the city’s zoning regulations, and possible approval.
Consider approval of wage ordinance for several new hires—Roxane Miller in the city office, Alex Schilke as pool manager and three summer interns here to work on community development.
The council will consider approval of an ordinance renumbering Street Improvement Districts for the summer paving projects on Holland and East 2nd Streets.
Purchase of boilers for the nursing home facility will be addressed.
A Show Cause Hearing is scheduled at the request of Justin Mueller regarding a tree on his property that had been declared a nuisance.
Discussion is also expected to continue on changes to the city’s code book. The council and mayor are reviewing the entire code book ahead of having it updated by a law firm to comply with state statutes and other changes.
