Something for everyone in fair’s open photo contest

Categories for this year’s Chase County Fair and Expo Open Photo Contest have been announced as Churches, Go Big Red, Love Story and On the Horizon.
Organizer Samie Johnson says she tries to find a variety of categories that fit people, places and things so there’s something for everyone.
Anyone is eligible to enter the contest, including out of county and professional photographers.
Entries are due July 30 and must be submitted by 5 p.m. Each entry will be $15.
Johnson would prefer photos be JPGs.
Pictures with high pixels per inch display better, she added.
Entries may be sent to open photocontest@gmail.com.
An invoice for the entry fee will be emailed to the entrant. Payment will be accepted online or at Super Sam Designs in Imperial.
To ensure consistency in the presentation, Johnson will print and mount each photo.
All photos will be displayed during the fair.
First, second and third places in each category will receive a cash prize.
An overall Best of Show winner will receive $50.
