Public invited to hospital open house Thursday

Chase County Community Hospital and Clinics are celebrating National Hospital Week May 9-13.
The theme for this year is “We are Health Care”—recognizing the women and men who work in America’s hospitals and health systems and the vital role they play in our society.
On Thursday, there will be an open house at CCCH from 2 to 4 p.m. for the public, said Shawn Jaeger, Foundation and Marketing Coordinator.
The staff would like the community to stop by and join them in celebrating their story.
During the open house, cookies will be served along with tokens of appreciation handed out to the community attendees.
There will be a sign-up sheet posted for a drawing, as well.
Other activities for the staff began on Monday, with “Blooming & Growing Strong Together” where staff members planted flowers outside to brighten up the facility.
Plants were delivered throughout the day to CCCH staff.
Tuesday was potluck day, and staff was asked to bring their favorite dish to share at lunch time.
Latte Da was at the hospital Wednesday morning for staff to get their caffeine fix if they desired.
Coming up Friday, the staff will be wearing their Hospital Week shirt and jeans to work.
Treats will be offered Friday afternoon for staff with a drawing for prizes and gift cards. The staff has enjoyed drawings for prizes all week.
“We could celebrate every day, but we lean on Hospital Week to recognize all our hospital/clinic staff,” said Abby Cyboron, CEO.
