Nebraska Extension hosts Connecting the Dots for Chase County students

One hundred five ninth and tenth grade students from Chase County Schools gathered at the Wesleyan Church on Nov. 30 to learn more about post-secondary opportunities through the Connecting the Dots program.
Developed by Nebraska Extension, Connecting the Dots is an interactive career exploration simulation program designed to help high school students learn about careers of interest.
Through the experience, participants explore how to connect the dots from early high school through postsecondary education and training to the workplace.
The simulation experience incorporates local/area business and industry across 16 career clusters, post-secondary, and military partners.
Following the simulation, students learned to embrace success and foster hope with Chase County Schools alumni Maika Leibbrandt of Maika Leibbrandt Consulting.
Students concluded the day with sessions on Resumes, Networking and Motivated Skills taught by Nebraska Extension Educators.
