Minister’s group planning for Christmas Day dinner

Meal is free but donations will be accepted at door

Final preparations are in place for a full, traditional community Christmas dinner in Imperial on Sunday, Dec. 25.
Coordinated by the Ministerial Association, the Imperial United Methodist Church will host the dinner this year in their fellowship hall at 420 Holland Street.
The come and go dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The menu will include turkey, ham, potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, stuffing, salads and a variety of pie.
Churches provide much of the food, along with local businesses, said UMC Pastor Deb Copple.
Anyone alone for Christmas or who would like to attend are invited, Pastor Copple said.
The meal is free, but donations will be accepted at the door, which the Ministerial Association uses in its outreach work to transients and other needs in the community.
Volunteers are still needed to help Sunday. Contact a local pastor or email: imperial firstumc.ne@gmail.com.
