Local women at Eastern Star Grand Chapter

The 147th annual Grand Chapter of Nebraska Order of Eastern Star “Rainbows of Kindness” session was held May 9-11, in Kearney.
Marcia Elder and Barbara Wood of Imperial, members of Ogallala Chapter #142, attended. Elder is serving as Grand Representative to North Dakota in Nebraska.
There are 61 Grand Representatives to states and foreign countries such as Italy and Australia.
Imperial businesses furnished gifts for the tables at the Grand Representative’s Breakfast. Wood served as Assistant Grand Warder to the Grand Warder Andrea Stewart, who is from Sutherland and also a member of the Ogallala chapter.
Elder (Grand Electa) and Wood (Grand Ruth) were both acknowledged for being Grand Officers.
The 2023-2024 Worthy Grand Matron is Linda Dubry, a member of both the Thedford and North Platte chapters.
