Kuhlmann to deploy overseas
Sgt. Khris Kuhlmann, a seven and a half year member of the Nebraska Army National Guard, will be deploying soon to an army base in the Middle East.
Kuhlmann lives in Lincoln and is part of a military police unit in Omaha, he said.
This will be Kuhlmann’s first deployment overseas, he said, and it’s scheduled to last nine months.
The mission is to maintain law and order on the military base, he said.
“I will be doing a lot of patroling,” he added.
Kuhlmann said he extended his military contract in order to be able to have this experience.
“I’m excited about deploying overseas and seeing another part of the world in a different perspective,” he said.
Kuhlmann is a 2014 Chase County Schools’ graduate.
His parents are Daniel and Shannon Kuhlmann of Imperial, and he is the oldest of three children.
