Hunter safety class offered in October

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has scheduled a Hunter Education/Bow Hunting class for Oct. 8-10 in Imperial to promote hunter safety.
Those attending must be at least 11 years of age, and may also be adults.
Beau Licking of the Game and Parks said students must attend the classes “every minute” in order to pass the class.
Topics discussed will include the parts of a firearm, cross and compound bows, pistols, rifles and shotguns.
Classes will be held at the Imperial Volunteer Fire Department fire barn. The schedule is as follows:
Oct. 8—6 p.m.
Oct. 9—8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with hour lunch on own
Oct. 10—1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Another session will be held Nov. 5-7 at the same times and location. Licking said class size is limited to 15 students.
