Historical Society’s annual dinner, meeting Sept. 26 in Champion

The annual dinner and meeting for the Chase County Historical Society is scheduled Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Champion Community Center.
Social hour will begin at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m., said Charley Colton, Historical Society president.
“We will be providing a program during the evening, but it is still undecided what the program topic will be,” he said.
During the meeting, a discussion will include a year-end wrap up of activities.
“We will have a summation of how the programs went and how many visitors we had, as well as the election of officers,” said Colton.
Work on possible programs for next year will also be discussed at the meeting, he added.
The cost of the meal and program will be $15 per person. An RSVP is requested no later than Sept. 23.
