As deadlines near, two more incumbent candidates file

Incumbent office-holders have less than two weeks to file their intentions of running again for office in the 2022 election.
As the Feb. 15 incumbent deadline nears, two more filings for local office were received at the Chase County Clerk and Secretary of State offices.
Dan Reeves of Imperial filed for re-election to the CCS board of education and Dean Large of Wauneta is seeking another 4-year term on the Upper Republican NRD board.
Election officials remind residents an incumbent is anyone filing for office who currently holds an elected position, even if it is on a different board than the one they seek in 2022.
All other candidates have until March 1 to file.
