Country singer Tyler Braden to open for 38 Special at fair

An opening act for 38 Special at the Chase County Fair has ties to country music, and fair board members believe it will be a good combination.
Jake Burke, CCF marketing, advertising and ticketing director, said they are putting together the rock and country mix for the Friday night, Aug. 12, grandstand show.
“We feel it will be a good mix between the two of them,” Burke said.
Braden grew up in Slapout, Alabama, with parents who fostered an early appreciation for country music, guitar-playing songwriters filling the airwaves and a group of rock-loving friends.
In his early 20s, Braden played local shows and toured the southeast while serving as a first responder in Montgomery, Alabama, and then continued firefighting in the suburbs of Nashville while preparing to take his music career to the next level.
Braden introduced himself to the world as a major label recording artist with his take on NEEDTOBREATHE’s hit “Brother.” Praised for his “commanding delivery” in a MusicRow review, Braden offered the song as a tribute to his first responder family and all those fighting on the front lines during the pandemic.
To date, he’s earned massive fan response from original releases including “Love Is A Dead End Road,” “Secret,” “What Do They Know,” “Ways To Miss You” and, most recently, “Try Losing One.”
Braden has been competing for Tennessee on the American Song Contest program.
Burke noted that ticket sales are at record levels for both nights of entertainment Aug. 12 and 13, and a difference in sales of just five tickets separates the two shows.
Headlining the Saturday, Aug. 13, show will be country star Scotty McCreery with opener Ernest.
Burke said early bird ticket sales continue until Aug. 1. Ticket information is available at chasecountyfair.com.
