Chase County Road Show coming to museum Sunday

The popular Chase County Road Show will be back at the Chase County Museum this Sunday with a program starting at 1:30 p.m.
Lloyd Michael, Jr., who owns and operates Michael Auction Service of Julesburg, Colorado, will present the program at the museum in Champion.
Carol Maddux, Chase County Historical Society board member, said people of the area are invited to bring antiques and other valuables to the museum for Michael to review and possibly give an idea on value.
He will present history on the pieces if he has knowledge of them, she said.
Lloyd is a second generation auctioneer and joined the business in 1974. He is a past Chairman of the Board and the 2000 president of the Colorado Auctioneers Association. He was the 2000 State Champion Colorado Auctioneer, and at the 2011 convention, Lloyd was inducted into the Colorado Auctioneers Hall of Fame.
“The Road Show is one of the best attended programs each summer at the museum,” Maddux said.
Refreshments will be served. The museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
