CCS FCCLA members help decorate Imperial Manor/Parkview Heights

The Chase County Schools FCCLA students came to the Imperial Manor/Parkview Heights (IMPH) on Thursday, Nov. 30, to decorate for the Christmas holiday season.  The students had a wonderful time decorating the facility.
The residents at IMPH were so thrilled to see the students come in and they had a lot of laughs with them while the residents enjoyed their dinner, and the FCCLA students made a show of how much they enjoy the Christmas holiday season too.
The students were able to place a tree in front of the window which has become the Resident Angel Tree.  This tree is for community members, family members, and others to help make the Christmas holiday more special by purchasing gifts for the residents.  If anyone is interested in helping with the Resident Angel Tree, please see the article in last week’s issue of in the Imperial Republican or call Tammy Freeman, Activities Director, at 308-414-6482.
The residents at IMPH always enjoy any and all wo come to the facility, whether it be to call BINGO, to visit for a school project, or to decorate to make the building look more festive or anything at all, Tammy Freeman said.
“I am always willing to work with all organizations on finding a date and time that will work for you to come,” she said.  “If you need volunteer hours for your school please reach out to me, I can find the hours you need for your requirements,” she said.
The FCCLA students do a monthly volunteer activity at different locations throughout the school year.  The students enjoy volunteering just as much as those they are volunteering for, said Misty Jaeger, the FCCLA sponsor.
