Busy agenda will be addressed at council’s December meeting

Based on the agenda items already on the docket Tuesday, a full agenda awaits the Imperial city council when it convenes Monday for its only December meeting.
The meeting will be held in the Lied Imperial Public Library at 6 p.m.
Jo Leyland, City Clerk/Administrator, said a number of annual December items are on the agenda, along with others.
The council will elect a president and approve annual board appointments put forward by Mayor Dwight Coleman.
Heather Johnson of Imperial is applying for an LB 840 loan to purchase a local restaurant, and if her request gains Citizens Advisory Committee approval, it will come before the council for consideration.
Tyler Pribbeno, Community Development Director, said the Loan Review Committee has already recommended the loan. The CAC meets Wednesday this week, and if approved there, it goes to the council Monday.
    Other agenda items include:
A replat request from Bill Brophy.
Several trailers in Capital Court will be before the council for possible impoundment.
Other items include declaring a 2007 GMC Acadia as surplus and authorize its sale. Leyland said the vehicle was towed after a nuisance code violation and became city property.
The council will also consider a pay request from Nielsen Contracting and discuss approval of the city’s personnel manual.
