Annual CCS career fair, senior seminar on finances next week

Next Wednesday Chase County Schools will be hosting  a Career Fair from 8 to 11:30 a.m. in the auxiliary gym for grades 10-12.
Local businesses will have information booths set up similar to career fairs held in the past.
Students will tour one booth at a time during the morning to gather desired information.
“Businesses can still contact me to sign up. I’m hoping for a great turnout to show our students the abundance and variety of career opportunities available for them right here in their hometown,” said Tyler Pribbeno, Community Development Director.
Pribbeno is working with the school on the March 23 career fair promotion.
Any businesses that would like to sign up to have a booth may contact Pribbeno at the city office at 308-882-4368 or tylerp@imperial-ne.com.
Businesses who have already signed up are: City of Imperial, Imperial Manor, Chase County Hospital and Clinics, Imperial Yost Farm Supply, Pinnacle Bank, Frenchman Valley Coop, Harchelroad Motors Inc. managed by Wolf Auto Imperial, Imperial Beef, Titan Machinery and The Imperial Republican.
“This would be a great opportunity for your business to recruit potential employees and showcase what your business offers,” said Pribbeno.
The goal of this fair is for each student to be given a glance of the wide variety of career opportunities available in southwest Nebraska as well as a chance to learn what skills and education are needed to pursue these careers, he added.
Following the career fair in the morning, there will be a senior seminar at 1 p.m. in the auditorium.
The focus will be financial advice from local bankers and business people, Pribbeno said.
