Wolves spoil Homecoming for Broncos on the gridiron

    Friday Oct. 6 brought undefeated Arthur County to town for a Homecoming football game with the Broncos. The Broncos ended up on the wrong end of the 16-66 score.
    It was all Arthur County for the first three quarters of the game. The Broncos suffered six turnovers in the game which decreased any chance of holding off the Wolves.
    In the first quarter Arthur County scored on runs of 14, 35 and 34 yards. They missed two extra point kicks and converted one two-point conversion.
    In the second quarter the Wolves scored on runs of 75, 20 and 16 yards and converted two points with each.
    In the third quarter the Wolves scored on runs of 42 and 38 yards with two-point conversions on both before the Broncos scored on a 65 yard run by Trey McCrumb and two-point conversion by Kreyton Wiese.
    The only score in the fourth quarter was a three yard run by T. McCrumb and two-point conversion by Wiese.
    T. McCrumb was the leading rusher with 96 yards on 11 carries, Sean Manley 40 on 15 carries and Nathan Blackman minus 10 on 3 carries.
    G. Sutherland caught 3 passes for 45 yards and T. McCrumb caught 2 for 31.
    G. Sutherland was credited with 12 tackles, K. Wiese 8, T. McCrumb 5, N. Blackman 5, K. McCrumb 2, C. Chism 1 and S. Manley 1.
    The Broncos will host Paxton Friday night at 6 p.m. MT. It will also be senior night being the last home game of the season.
    Paxton is 3-3 on the year and coming off a 66-50 win over Wallace last week.
