PeeWee seasons underway for three Imperial teams

    The three Imperial PeeWee  teams are staying busy with Wednesday and Friday games that started May 26.
    Imperial 1 started its season May 31 when it hosted Sutherland.
    Dylan Miscles, who pitched in the game, scored once and Rodrigo Robles came around to score twice. Max Bernard, David Peaslee and Jaxsen Villarreal each reached second base, but couldn’t come home to score in the 3-16 loss.
    Imperial 1 took on Imperial 2 June 2.
    Thomas Maddux and Sawyer Sauder scored to start off the game for Imperial 2. In the bottom of the first, Miscles, Robles and Aaron Cervantes gave Imperial 1 the lead.
    Imperial 2 grabbed the lead, 5-3, in the second inning behind runs by Tatum May, Leo Ballesteros, Maddux and Sauder, then added to it with another run by Sauder in the third inning.
    Imperial 1 got back into the game with four runs in the third. Bernard, Aiden Dockery, Zariah Carman and Villarreal put the older team ahead, 7-6.
    Each team scored once in the fourth inning, May for Imperial 2 and Cervantes for Imperial 1.
    Sauder, Dietrich Pursley and Logan Siverson crossed home plate in the top of the fifth inning for Imperial 2. In the bottom half of the inning, Peaslee and Robles scored for Imperial 1 to tie the game at 9-9.
    Each team score five runs in the sixth inning to leave the game tied at 14-14. For Imperial 2, Maddux, Eddie Rusher, Pursley, Gram Konecky and Oliver Ballesteros scored, while Miscles, Dockery, Carman, Villarreal and Noel Tarin scored for Imperial 1.
    Imperial 1 lost at Ogallala 1 June 7, 5-20.
    Imperial 1 scored three runs in the second inning with Carman, Villarreal and Robles scoring. In the fourth inning, Villarreal and Peaslee came in to score.
    On June 9, Imperial 1 picked up a 7-4 win at home over Paxton.
    Imperial 1 got off to a good start, holding Paxton to one run to start the game. Imperial 1 responded with four of its first five batters scoring, Miscles, Robles, Bernard, Tarin and Dockery.
    Paxton tied the game with three runs in the top of the second inning, but it would be its final runs of the game. Imperial 1 held Paxton to only one base runner over the final three innings.
    Imperial 1 regained the lead in the third inning after runs by Tarin and Dockery.
    Villarreal scored a safety run in the bottom of the fifth inning to cap the win.
    Jesus Marquez pitched for Imperial 1.
     In other games, Imperial 2 has played Grant and Ogallala 3 at home and traveled to Paxton and Hershey.
    Imperial 3 has made trips to Sutherland and Wallace while hosting Ogallala 3 and Hershey.
    Wednesday evening, Imperial 1 played Imperial 3 and Imperial 2 traveled to Ogallala 2.
    Friday, Imperial 2 will host Sutherland at 5 p.m. and Imperial 3 will host Ogallala 1 at 7 p.m. Imperial 1 will be at Wallace.
