Broncos wrap up pre-holiday schedule

    The Wauneta-Palisade wrestlers headed into their holiday break with a meet at Sutherland Saturday.
    Konner McCrumb had the Broncos’ best day, going 3-1 at 106 lbs. and finishing third. McCrumb’s only loss came at the hands of Class D #9 Logan Robirds of North Platte St. Pat’s.
    Draven Miner wrestled in one of the tournament’s tougher weight groups. The 220 lb. round robin featured Pleasanton’s undefeated Luke Pawloski, ranked sixth in Class D; Anselmo-Merna’s Tayte Thornton, 12-5; Mullen’s Tel Kvanvig, 6-4; Maxwell’s  Jaycob Young, 10-3; and NPSP’s Braxton Richards, 9-11.
    Coleman Chism was 1-2 at 113 lbs.
    Bobby Chism, 106 lbs., and Trey McCrumb, 182 lbs, went 0-2.

    The Broncos will be busy in the new year. WP will be at the Dundy County-Stratton Invite Jan. 6 then head to the Garden County Invite Jan. 7.
