Troy Hauxwell named regional AD of the year

Chase County Activities Director Troy Hauxwell has been named the Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association’s Region 5 Athletic Director of the Year.
Hauxwell was nominated by other ADs from across the state.
As other schools across Nebraska and northwest Colorado have experienced a high turnover in activities directors, Hauxwell has taken on a mentorship role to many newcomers. From helping with game and officials contracts to helping schools find opponents, Hauxwell has helped when and where he can.
At a state-wide level, he  serves on various Nebraska Schools Activities Association committees and is a past member of Colorado High School Activities Association committees.
As the head coach of the CCS girls track and field team, Hauxwell has earned numerous awards
On a national level, Hauxwell has a been recognized as the National Federation of High Schools Nebraska Coach of the Year and US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Coach of the Year.
In Nebraska, Hauxwell is a four-time Nebraska Coaches Association Class C Coach of the Year and Girls Coach of the Year.
Hauxwell will be recognized at the NSIAAA banquet March 5 in Lincoln.
