New officers announced, awards given at WP FFA banquet
The Wauneta-Palisade FFA Chapter held their annual banquet on April 23rd in the Wauneta gym. At the banquet, the 2024-2025 officer team was announced. The new officers are President Grayden Sutherland, Vice President Kalli Hoskovec, Secretary Izzy Stehno, Treasurer Justin Warembourg, Sentinel Noah Sandman, Parliamentarian Collin Bley, Reporter Britney Barnard and Junior Advisor Toria Bley. Several awards were given out, as well.
Earning their Discovery Degree–awarded to junior high FFA members–were Liam Dinnel, Kamryn Fanning, Wyatt Hilbert, Kameron Jutten, Caidence McCrumb, Annaly Ramirez, Cadence Sandoval, Morgan Walker, Kasey Ward and Molly Yearous. The Star Discovery Degree was awarded to Cadence Sandoval. Qualifying for their Greenhand Degree were Britney Barnard, Toria Bley and Justin Warembourg. Britney Barnard was given the Star Greenhand Degree. Chapter Degrees were awarded to Lilly Dinnel, Noah Sandman and Justin Warembourg–who also earned the Star Chapter Degree.
Noah Sandman and LiLeigh Littrel were recognized for having made Top Fruit sales for the year. The Bonehead Award was given to Noah Sandman. Scholarship Awards were given to Britney Barnard, Lilly Dinnel, Grayden Sutherland and Ryleigh McCrumb. Toria Bley, Casey Walker, Kalli Hoskovec and Trey McCrumb were given Service Awards while Britney Barnard, Noah Sandman, Justin Warembourg and Mandy Sandoval earned Leadership Awards. The Outstanding Senior Member Awards were given to Hoyte Holmes, Ryleigh McCrumb, Trey McCrumb and Mandy Sandoval.
The WP FFA Chapter also awarded Honorary Chapter Degrees to Kelsey Steinkraus and Tiffany Stoller. And to show gratitude for all they have done for the WP FFA Chapter, Appreciation Awards were given to Ryan McCrumb, Sabrina Sandoval, Tiffany Stoller, Brenda Daniel, Guy Rundback, Mike and Tiffany Bley, Ariel Fanning, Scott Kennicutt, Luke Curl, Monte Burrell, London Maris, Kelsey Steinkraus, Arlys Cupp, Susie’s Creative Stitches, Michelle Harchelroad, RanDee Barger, Randy Vlasin, Cord Lee, Dakota West, Mandy Sandoval and Laurie Maris.
