Kaylee Gill joined the staff at CCS as a middle school and high school art teacher. She is also the junior class sponsor.

Art instructor influenced Gill to pursue career in education

Another first-year teacher has joined the staff at Chase County Schools
Kaylee Gill grew up in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
She received her Bachelor’s degree in art and early childhood degree earlier this year from Peru State College.
Gill is teaching art in middle school and one high school class, plus she is the junior class sponsor.
“I have always liked art since I was a child. I liked to draw and paint with acrylic  paints and water colors,” Gill said.
While growing up in school, she said she didn’t feel she really had the kind of teachers she would have liked until an art teacher in high school.
“That teacher inspired me to be a better person and follow a teaching career in art,” she said.
She is looking forward to building relationships with her students, said Gill.
“My goal is to be a positive influence on my students, and inspire them the way that art teacher did for me,” she said.
Gill is single and has a cat named Kiki. When not teaching she said she likes to read non-fiction books.
She also paints in her free time and sells her paintings online.
