Sunday’s 4-H horse show kicked off the weeklong Chase County Fair, and by afternoon, it warmed up considerably.
Mark Bottom of Imperial is preparing to “Pedal for Pat” on the 1,098-mile ride as one of the Summitt Cyclists. The 12-day trek is scheduled Oct. 17-28, starting in Knoxville, Tenn.
The many thunderstorms in the area have not only brought in much needed moisture, but have also caused some damage to dirt roads and, for a while, caused highway 6 to be a somewhat treacherous road
Fried food, barn animals, concerts, fast rides and bingo all have one thing in common—the Chase County Fair. The long-awaited event officially starts this Sunday and will conclude Sunday, Aug.
