Hairball, Rude Band cut short by lightning
With a storm moving into the area last Friday at the Chase County Fair, The Rude Band, opener for Hairball shown at top, played for approximately 15 minutes before a short break.

An early evening rain shower didn’t spoil the fun at the Chase County Fair Ranch Rodeo Aug. 13.

CCF open/county horseshoe tournaments draw full rosters
The Chase County Fair’s (CCF) open and county horseshoe pitching tournaments continue to be ever-popular competitions each year.

Veterans Memorial progressing despite delay
The Chase County Veterans Memorial construction will be delayed temporarily due to recent injuries sustained in an accident by Imperial Contracting owner Ryan Greene, who is working on the proj
